Zak: “(This selfie is) Performance art as Life. It’s a Versace tattoo I Photoshopped on my neck, and I’m not even good at Photoshop.”
Me: Why Versace?
Zak: “It’s sea punk, like nostalgia for the 90’s”
The photo came out bad, so Zak said he could Dropbox me the image, and he did.
In a follow up email, this is what Zak wrote,
“Seapunk is punk with an aquatic theme, with 90’s graphics aesthetics, sega nostalgia and ecco the dolphin, lots of dolphins the selfie i took was more part of the trill movement, which incorporates parts of seapunk and vaporwave.”
